Brise soleil and facade louvres
Fixed or adjustable louvres are a permanent part of the facade architecture. Aluprof MB-SUNPROF has lamellas from 100 to 300 mm wide with tilt angles from 0 to 45°, giving effective sun protection while keeping natural daylight. Procural Sun Protect uses aerofoil louvres from 100 to 400 mm that mount on walls and facades, with automatic control.
External shading lowers the solar heat entering the building much more than internal blinds, because the heat is stopped outside the glass. The best louvre size and angle depend on orientation, so we review this with your facade drawings.
External venetian blinds
Aluprof SkyFlow external venetian blinds use Z and C-shaped aluminium slats that can be tilted to control light and glare. SkyFlow BOX/COMPACT is a slim built-in version, SZF/A is an adaptive blind with electric drive, and SZF/S is a self-supporting louvre system for external facade installation. All three reach maximum dimensions of 4500 × 4000 mm.
Security roller shutters
Roller shutters add shading, privacy and protection for ground-floor units and exposed facades. Aluprof SAFETY PLUS is certified in resistance class RC2 with a patented locking mechanism in the bottom profile, and SAFETY PREMIUM reaches RC3. The surface-mounted SKB STYROTERM system reaches Usb from 0.29 W/m²K and SKT OPOTERM reaches Usb 0.73 W/(m²K).

What is brise soleil?
Brise soleil is an architectural sun shading device made of horizontal or vertical louvres fixed to the outside of a building. Aluprof MB-SUNPROF and Procural Sun Protect are aluminium louvre systems of this type.
Is external shading better than internal blinds?
For reducing solar heat gain, yes. External shading stops the sun before it reaches the glass, while internal blinds let the heat into the room first. Internal blinds still help with glare.
Can solar shading be automated?
Yes. Procural Sun Protect offers automatic control, and Aluprof SkyFlow external venetian blinds are available with electric drive.
Which roller shutters are burglar resistant?
Aluprof SAFETY PLUS is certified in resistance class RC2 and SAFETY PREMIUM reaches RC3. Both use aluminium profiles with a locking mechanism.
