Entrance and shopfront doors for heavy use
Main entrances in commercial buildings open thousands of times a day. Aluprof MB-100GFT is a thermally broken door and storefront system for ground-floor entrances and shop windows, tested for 1,000,000 opening and closing cycles. Procural PE78NHI with central sealing takes leaves up to 280 kg and 1400×3000 mm.
For automatic entrances, Procural automatic sliding doors use an ESCO drive rated for 1,000,000 cycles, reach RC2 and comply with EN 16361+A1. For a budget-driven scheme, Aluprof MB-60E is an economic thermally broken system with 60 mm profile depth, also available as MB-60E HI with better thermal insulation.
Pivot and panel doors for representative entrances
Pivot doors turn on an offset axis, which allows very large leaves for office lobbies, hotels and residential entrances. Aluprof MB-86N Pivot Door reaches leaf sizes up to 2.0 x 3.4 m with Ud from 0.73 W/(m²K), and Procural PE96HI Pivot Panel Doors carry leaves of up to 500 kg.
Panel doors hide the frame behind a flush aluminium panel. Aluprof panel doors come in MB-79N, MB-86N, MB-104 Passive and MB-86N Pivot Door versions with Ud from 0.63 W/(m²K), and Procural PE96HI Panel Doors use 50 mm thermal breaks and a 96 mm panel. For fabricators, Schüco AD UP 90 BL Residential uses mechanical, adhesive-free panel fixings.
Security doors: RC2, RC3 and RC4
Burglar resistance is classified from RC1 to RC6 under EN 1627, and RC2 or RC3 is the usual requirement for commercial entrances and ground-floor units. The class applies to the complete tested door set, including glazing and hardware. Procural PE68/PE68HI reaches RC2/RC3 with Ud from 1.06 W/(m²K), Aluprof MB-79N reaches up to RC3 and MB-86N up to RC4.
Internal doors and non-insulated systems
Inside the building, non-insulated systems are lighter and more economical. Procural PE50 Internal Doors have a 52 mm depth and smoke class Sa/S200, PE50 Glass Doors are full-glass doors with leaves up to 60 kg, and PE50 Coplanar Doors set the leaf in the frame plane. Procural PE40 and Aluprof MB-45 and MB-45S complete the internal range.

Frequently asked questions about commercial aluminium doors
What is the difference between RC2 and RC3 doors?
Both are EN 1627 burglar resistance classes. RC2 resists an opportunistic attacker with simple tools such as screwdrivers, while RC3 is tested with a crowbar and longer attack times. Procural PE68/PE68HI and Aluprof MB-79N reach RC3, and MB-86N reaches RC4.
Which door system suits a busy commercial entrance?
Choose a system rated for many cycles. Aluprof MB-100GFT and Procural automatic sliding doors are both rated for 1,000,000 cycles. We recommend the system after reviewing the opening size, traffic and security needs.
How large can an aluminium pivot door be?
Aluprof MB-86N Pivot Door allows leaves up to 2.0 x 3.4 m, and Procural PE96HI Pivot Panel Doors carry leaves up to 500 kg. The final size depends on the panel or glass weight and the hardware.
