Fire-resistant glazed roofs with aluminium frame
The MB-SR50N EI aluminium facade system is designed for the creation of fire-resistant glazed roofs with fire resistance class REI 30 / RE 45 according to PN-EN 13501-2 standard. Instead of traditional rafters and battens, an aluminium framework with posts and cross members is used, which is attached to the building structure with special brackets. The profiles are equipped with special fire safety inserts consisting of an aluminium reinforcement profile protected by fire safety plates, so additional steel reinforcement is typically not required. Fire safety tests have been carried out for both flat and pitched glazed structures, providing classification for roofs with a pitch from 0° to 80° from the horizontal plane. The system offers glazing options from 36 to 52 mm thick, and photovoltaic panels or photovoltaic glass can also be used as infill.
