Integrated spandrel protection against fire flashover in facades

Schüco Deflame is a fire-resistant spandrel panel that integrates fully into FWS 50 and FWS 60 stick curtain walls. It slows the spread of fire from one facade opening to the next caused by flame flashover, sparks or radiant heat. The system-tested panel meets class EI90 and reaches up to 120 minutes of fire resistance in the floor-slab zone. The outer face can be made of any non-combustible material, such as sheet metal or printed glass, so fire-rated zones blend with the rest of the facade. Panels are delivered made to measure with pre-assembled inserts and need no special tools or separate fabricator certification.
